Tantei Saito is a Japanese man born in the Kanto region. He's standing in at 6'6Ft (198 CM) and weighs in at 562 LBS (255 KG). The main reason Tantei is this heavy because of his cybernetically enhanced body. Tantei's cybernetics include:

These enhancements were given to Tantei after he took on the infamous Cartel, The Vermilion Dragon

These cybernetics now enhance his overall performance in battles. He no longer needs to consume that much food. He can still gain energy from it, but he can very easily just gain it from a Bio-luminescent substance which the World Hero Organization produces. It is all kept in his pockets.

Despite his cybernetics though, he still has a body of a human, alongside organs of a human. He can certainly bleed and take internal damage.

Alongside that, Tantei is an incredibly skilled martial artist. Even a beginner could tell that from his muscular structure. He's a fantastic Karate, Tae Kwan Do and Boxing fighter, making him very dangerous upclose.

Story

As stated before, Tantei is a Japanese man born in the Kanto region of Japan, and as a child he always wanted to become a person who'd save others, someone who'd depend on him, and so he decided to become a hero. Although, one man stood in his way, that being his father who worked in the police department to carry his legacy.

Tantei's father is what you'd describe as a pig. A corrupt, bad cop who even arrested heroes for his own pleasure and benefits. Getting money after money for making decisions as he became more corrupt. Eventually though, he began drinking, having party nights at clubs, cheating and so on. Tantei's mother was devastated. Night and night again, he'd return home, drunk, or his bloodstream fueled with drugs only to beat both of them mercilessly. Young Tantei hated all of this, he hated everything about his father. Even before these events, he was absurdly harsh on him, and he was beaten numerous time, but this time? It was far worse.

One day, his mother had enough. She decided to fight back, and injured Tantei's father quite well. But sadly, he pulled out a gun only to shoot his very loved one. Did he regret it? Absolutely not. Instead, he felt better because he considered her nothing more but a burden. Tantei, after seeing this, was enraged to the point of no return. Eventually a 13 year old Tantei used everything in his power, including the quirk that he inherited from his mother to beat his father mercilessly. And after a few, bloody, brutal hours, he left him unconcious.

Tantei had no choice. He had to leave his home, otherwise death would be the most likely outcome for him. And so, he left his home only to become a stray. A thief, stealing food because he had no other choice. But he also wished to become strong. So strong that he wouldn't get beaten by anyone. He wished nothing more but strength to not use it to harm others, but to defend himself. And so, he began to self-train. In the forest, he went through horrid training's while being malnourished from the lack of food. But this turned out to be of advantage to him. He reached his absolute peak one day, everything that his body had to offer, he was exhausted, he could barely move. And that's when he changed. His brain began to think at its best. Survival. He MUST survive. And so, his brain began to produce liquids such as Endorphin, Dopamine, Oxycontin and just so much more. And at that point, Tantei now could not only activate his Adrenaline inducing glands with his quirk, but also other glands which allowed him to work even better. At that time though, Tantei swore to himself that he'd never use the quirk that he inherited from his father because it always reminded it of him. He didn't want to be like HIM.

He became a common street thug, although a lone one. He never wished to associate himself with the trash. And at one fateful day, he got severely beaten by a gang, on the brink of death, he knew that he couldn't survive this unless he used his father's quirk, but he didn't. He swore to his mothers grave that he would NEVER use it. And so, a guardian angel appeared in his life.

Sirens were heard, policecars arrived, Tantei was scared more than before. He'd rather get beaten by them rather than by his own father. Or hell, even get arrested. But instead, he was saved by a man. A simple, lone detective. He was shown nothing more but kindness after he was saved, his wounds were treated in the hospital, and a report came that he was nothing more but a stray. He was about to be sent to an orphanage but then.. Something sparked within Tantei. He found his own idol, so he begged the very man that saved him to become his mentor, to teach him what it is like to save lives. And so, Tantei after his recovery was trained by him.

He was an incredibly talented young man. Physically he was amazing. His training in the woods helped him become far stronger than someone of his age. And his near death encounter against a gang unleashed something within him. It made him.. So much more faster.. He could react to things so much faster now! He experienced Death. His brain allowed him to now react to things so fast that everything went slow for him, which became very advantageous for him.

The detective began to also train Tantei mentally and even taught him school subjects. Specifically the ones that he was good in. Literature, science, mathematics and even biology. And soon enough, he had quite the hefty amounts of knowledge.

His mentors teachings resulted in him getting quite the intellect at a rather young age. In his mere teens, he was considered a prodigy with his IQ of 196. He's capable of solving complex mathematical equations in mere minutes, and at some point he became a lecturer. With his incredible intellect and a strive to save people, Tantei become a very likable figure to the highest authority of the World Hero Organization, which is a union of countries hero organizations from all over the world, to the point where he became very good friends with many #1 Heroes from all over the countries, although, his relationship with All Might hasn't exactly been the most rich, main reason being that they simply never interacted. They only have a mutual respect for each other.

Tantei's biggest mission was to end the infamous gang known as The Pink Dragon, which exported illegal drugs into Japan and Korea for unknown reason, but it was found out that they were making a mind controlling drug with a powdery consistency, allowing it to be spread across Japan like wildfire with private planes. At this point though, Tantei hadn't gone through his upgrades, nor he was as wise as before. Instead, he was what you'd describe as a man with boiling blood for Justice. This sadly became his downfall.

He decided to head first all by himself into the gang, going from room to room, building to building to reach the very top where he'd end all of this. Which he did, but with many, horrid wounds.

Tantei was brutally dealt with. Both of his arms were sliced clean off, leaving him near defenseless, But he kept going. He kept fighting even though his wounds held him back. And soon enough.. He succeeded. But at a very bad state. He was about to die.

But he was saved once again by the very man that saved him the first time. Surviving death the second time. Although.. This time he didn't wish to continue. He was.. Broken.

He wished nothing more but death. That was when he was brought back to his senses. He was given a few words by his mentor, which made him realize something. It wasn't time for him to go yet. He didn't let some flesh wound stop him. He realized just what it meant to be a hero. It was not only about saving others lives, but also giving them a good shoulder to stand on. A society where citizens would depend on Heroes who would protect them from all evil and danger. And that is what Tantei wanted. Tantei, in honor of his mentor, who passed away because of health issues decided to take his mantle. Becoming a detective himself as he began to work on the hardest of crimes. So he decided to change. There was no more Tantei Saito.

Because of that, he got recognition from the infamous WHA, which stood for World Hero Association. They recognized his skill, his capabilities, and his intelligence, which sometimes got overshadowed by his fiery nature. So they decided to take him in. And first, they gave him an upgrade. His arms were now replaced with Biosynthetic fibers that mimicked his body structure so that it wouldn't be uncomfortable to use the said arms, and his face was completely remodeled and now is protected by a highly durable helmet. He can sometimes remove it, but the sight is quite gruesome. And his voice was also changed as well, making his voice a slight bit robotic.

Tantei doesn't have a ranking, main reason being that he doesn't spend that much time in Japan, although, he's considered one of the Elite's of the World Hero Association. Right now though, he's sent in Japan to patrol and to take care of more dangerous villains roaming around by the World Hero Association.

Quirk

Adrenaline Rush

Quirk Type: Emitter

Tantei is able to control his own endocrine glands to produce an overwhelming amounts of adrenaline protein. So much that it might be lethal for a normal individual, but Tantei is visibly not affected by his adrenaline overdose. He doesn't get extremely tired after using his quirk. Although, he did get quite of a fatigue before he got his cybernetics.

His quirk also allows him to make others Adrenaline glands activate by simple touch alone, meaning that it can be used as a very good support quirk.

ULTIMATE
Adrenaline Overdrive

Tantei can produce absurd amounts of adrenaline, to the point where he becomes comparable to the likes of All Might in mere physical capabilities. Moving so fast that a normal eye won't even be capable of detecting him, punching so hard that he can create hurricanes, unmatched reaction time and so on.

This ability though puts Tantei's brain at an incredible strain, so much so that even his cybernetics aren't capable of nullifying the effects, rendering Tantei after this ability extremely weak for at least an entire hour. Although, this ability can last anywhere from half an hour to two hours.

Thunder Fists

This is by far Tantei's most powerful quirk, which he inherited from his father. He swore that he'd never use it, and in fact, he didn't. So much so that this quirk practically faded away, never to be used ever again.

But the quirk still resides within him, and it is waiting for its awakening, which will soon start.

The quirk allows Tantei to produce electricity with the same power equal that to an actual Thunder strike, allowing him to punch enemies with up to One billion volts of energy.

Additional powers and equipment

Intimidating Aura

Tantei out of all of the heroes has one of the most intimidating aura's. So intimidating that even Pro Heroes acknowledge it and sometimes are even startled by it. When someone is aware of his presence, or he's near the said person, they feel how the air gets heavier and colder.

It is said that Tantei's aura is identical to that of an actual Oni.

Fear Inducement

Alongside Tantei's intimidating aura, with said aura comes fear. Tantei is capable of inducing fear into his opponents from his sheer aura alone, making him a rather hard person to approach, but if people get used to it, it doesn't really become a problem.

Power Gauntlets

Tantei's most useful special equipment which is actually also a part of his body are his gauntlets. These gauntlets produce electricity from the energy that his nervous system produces when he activates his quirk.

These gloves also make it so that Tantei's full power strikes aren't self-harming. The gauntlets can produce as many volts as a thunder strike, which is one billion volts. Although, a full power strike will render Tantei's gauntlets useless for a long time.

Facts about Oni

Fastest non-quirk reaction time in the world

An average human's reaction time is only 0.25 seconds. But one of the very few are born with such the blessing that is having an even lower reaction time.

From scientific analysis, the fastest a human eye could detect is 0.2 seconds. But after they tested some of the members of Legion and other Heroes, Tantei came out on top by having the absolute lowest reaction time.

0.1 seconds.

A good cook.

In his free time, Tantei decided to pick up a hobby to spend his free time a bit more productively.

He decided to become a simple home cook.

If not for this hobby, Tantei would be twice as more focused on his job, practically burning out his entire body from all of the stress that he has to deal with.

Thankfully, learning how to make food helped him avoid overheating.

Masterful hand to hand combatant

Tantei is a terrifying fighter up-close. Not only is he a powerful man when it comes to his physical capabilities, but he's also very informed about Martial Arts.

He is a very knowledgeable person in the Arts of War, reading countless books, watching documentaries, attending lectures where professors and other masters alike give information to the younger folk.

And so, he knows how to deal with majority of the types of fighters. Be it a sword wielder, or a gun wielder.
